Rotate ACS

Used to rotate the active ACS. The origin is not moved. The selected ACS is rotated by the angles specified along the X, Y and Z axes.

Note: A newly created, unsaved ACS cannot be rotated You must save the ACS to be able to rotate it. If you try to rotate an unsaved ACS you will be alerted by a message in the message center.

You can access this tool from the following:

  • Ribbon: Drawing > Drawing Aids > ACS
  • Ribbon: Modeling > Drawing Aids > ACS
  • Ribbon: Visualization > Drawing Aids > ACS
  • Toolbox: ACS


SettingDescription
(Technology Preview) ACS Lets you select the desired ACS. You can adjust the ACS view between rotate, side, and top from the drop-down menu.
Angle X Lets you enter the rotation angle for X-axis.
Angle Y Lets you enter the rotation angle for Y-axis.
Angle Z Lets you enter the rotation angle for Z-axis.
Absolute If On, the rotation angle of the ACS is calculated from the global ACS.

If off, the rotation angle of the ACS is calculated from the current ACS position.

(Technology Preview) Show Manipulator If On, shows the X, Y and Z axis enabling you to rotate the ACS about the selected axis.
Key-in: ROTATE ACS [ ABSOLUTE | RELATIVE ] [ angle_x, angle_y, angle_z ]
